The Damaged Good perform at 10:30pm.
In two (2) sentences, or less, describe your band.
We’re a alternative rock that finds inspiration in all genres of music leading us to compose a blend of melodic, energetic rock and tragic, anthemic ballads. We deliver an upbeat live performance, that much like our album, is filled with memorable and emotionally charged songs.
As musicians are you very conscious of the direction your music takes? What can people expect to hear at the upcoming show?
The only direction that we’re concerned about is the one that makes us most happy. Music is a huge outlet for all of us, so as long as we maintain that and continue to gel the way we have so far, we’re a very fortunate band.
Who/what has inspired you as musicians?
As a band we have a very broad spectrum of influences. We enjoy and are very inspired by all styles of music, from blues & rock and roll to classic, alternative and indie rock, even metal and post-rock... There’s no level of commercial success one has to achieve in order to become an influence either.
How would you describe your experiences as an independent band over the past years? Have you experienced any major challenges and/or significant moments?
Our most memorable experiences have been some of the bigger shows we played in Toronto; that’s when you have the opportunity to connect with people the most through our live show. Having said that, growing together as a band and meeting so many other great musicians along the way is equally as rewarding.
If there was one musician that you could work with, who would it be and how would they be involved?
There are too many phenomenal musicians out there to even begin to name, but I’m sure most of us would say it would be a dream to work with a really talented producer like Brendan O’Brien. Someone who could help us realize our own potential and assist in the recording process.
